Seaford is in Adelaide's outer south, on the coast between Port Noarlunga and Moana, at the end of the Seaford railway line. It grew mostly from the 1980s onwards and is a popular family suburb, with the cliffs and beach on one side and newer estates like Seaford Rise and Seaford Meadows spreading inland.
Seaford homes are mostly single-storey brick family houses from the 1980s and 1990s, plus newer two-storey builds in the estates. Carpet is common through bedrooms and often the living room in the older homes, usually a practical nylon or polypropylene, while newer homes have carpet in the bedrooms, theatre room and stairs over tiled living areas. Families, young children and dogs are everywhere, and there is a steady rental market serving people who commute to the city on the train.
