Kensington is a small, tightly held suburb just east of the parklands, between Norwood and Marryatville, with The Parade a short walk away and Kensington Gardens and Kensington Park next door. Its streets are a mix of cottages, villas and newer townhouses, all on compact blocks.
Many Kensington homes are older stone or brick cottages and villas that have been renovated, often with polished timber or tiles through the living areas and carpet kept to the bedrooms.
