Paralowie lies west of Salisbury on the flat northern plains, bounded by Waterloo Corner Road and Port Wakefield Road, with the Little Para River and its linear park running along its southern edge. It grew quickly through the 1980s and 1990s and today is a mix of established family homes, newer subdivisions on the old market garden land and a strong share of rental housing.
The 1980s and 1990s homes that make up most of Paralowie were built with carpet through the bedrooms and formal lounge and hard floors or vinyl in the kitchen and family areas. Newer homes on subdivided blocks tend to have carpet only in the bedrooms and theatre room, with floating floors elsewhere. Carpet is overwhelmingly synthetic, chosen for price and wear. Paralowie questions
It is a good time to do it, because the rooms are empty and the carpet can be cleaned edge to edge in one go. We can add a sanitise and deodorise treatment so any smell left by the previous household's pets or cooking is dealt with before your furniture is in the way. Most rooms are dry within a few hours of cleaning.
Light furniture can usually go back the same evening once the carpet is dry to the touch, and we leave the pile groomed so it dries faster. Heavy furniture on metal feet is better left overnight or sat on small foil squares so nothing marks the carpet. We will give you a time estimate when we finish.
